On November 25, 2022, Mr. Yasuo Urata, the president of Oncolys Biopharma Inc., visited our laboratory. Oncolys Biopharma is a Tokyo-based company and has been conducting joint research with Kagoshima University on antiviral drugs for the treatment of SARS-CoV-2 infection. The company and our university were collaborating for the development of antiviral drugs, such as anti-AIDS and anti-hepatitis C virus drugs. Mr. Urata experienced the BSL3 laboratory and exchanged opinions with Professor Mika Okamoto, the director of the BSL3 laboratory, and others on how to proceed with future joint research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
