kansen令和4年11月11日に米国ボストン大学・National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories（国立新興感染症研究所）のRobert Davey教授が当研究部門を訪問されました。彼はエボラ出血熱やクリミア・コンゴ出血熱などの致死率の極めて高いウイルス感染症の研究に関する世界的な権威で、今回は11月13日から長崎で開催された第69回日本ウイルス学会学術集会の特別講演者として来日されました。学会の前に鹿児島に立ち寄り、馬場昌範副学長、岡本実佳特任教授らと、今後の国際共同研究の可能性などについて、意見交換を行いました。
On November 11, 2022, Prof. Robert Davey of the National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories, Boston University, USA, visited our laboratory. He is a top scientist on the study of viral infections with extremely high fatality rates, such as Ebola and Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever, and came to Japan as an invited speaker at the 69th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Virology held in Nagasaki from November 13. Before the meeting, he stopped by Kagoshima and exchanged opinions with the director of our laboratory Prof. Mika Okamoto, Dr. Masanori Baba and others on the possibility of international collaboration in the near future.
